College human resource management system
Select HR College is an HR system
specifically designed for, and in association with, Further
Education Colleges. In addition to providing all the normal HR
tools, it also holds the information required to produce the Staff
Individualised Record (SIR).
Key employee information
includes: personal details and
equal opportunities monitoring, job and salary records, multiple
contracts, allowances, salary scales and FTE's, family details
including Parental Leave, contracts of employment, skills and
qualifications, photographs, file links - move away from manual
files by attaching documents, such as CV's and job descriptions to
the relevant part of the system.
Wizards:
Select HR guides you through inputting new information quickly and
easily using Wizards that highlight the important areas and create
the records for you.

Integration with Word and Excel:
Select HR has built-in tools for word processing and reporting,
however it can sometimes be useful to transfer information to Word
or Excel. Select HR is fully integrated with Microsoft Office and
such transfers can be done at the click of a button.
Mail
Merging: Select
HR takes the pain out of mail merging by creating pre-defined merges
for standard documentation. We will show you how to link your
existing Word templates to Select HR to easily produce your
contracts of employment, recruitment, training and salary letters.
Reminders:
By telling the system when probations reviews are due, when
disciplinary reviews need to take place and when training needs must
be fulfilled by, reminders will automatically appear when these
tasks become due. You can also create ad-hoc reminders and specify
who is to receive them. If you are using the Tasks facility in
Microsoft Outlook, reminders can appear within it.
E-Mailing:
In providing a HR function for the organisation there will be a
number of people who need to be informed when certain information
changes. Rather than filling out forms or setting yourself a
reminder to inform these people, Select HR can e-mail them
automatically for you. Triggers can be set-up to send e-mails
covering many subjects including new starters, leavers, job or
salary changes, course bookings and cancellations.
Reporting:
Select HR has a built-in report writer than contains many standard
reports and provides you with the tools to create your own reports
also.
