Technology Company in the London and Southern
Region in the 2005 Deloitte Technology Fast
50
Select
Software UK Ltd attributes its 240 percentage revenue growth to its
commitment to product development and the dedication of its staff.
Select
Software UK Ltd today announced that it ranked Number 39 in the 2005
Deloitte Technology Fast 50, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing
technology companies in the London and the Southern Region.
Rankings are based on average percentage revenue growth over 5
years, from 2000 to 2004. Select Software grew 240 percent during
this period.
Select
Software’s Managing Director, Julian Kirkness, credits the passion
and enthusiasm of the company’s staff and the strong commitment to
continual product development with the company’s 240% revenue growth
over the past 5 years. He said, “We are delighted to be recognised
for this award especially as we are the only Human Resources
software company in the region to reach the Fast 50 and our growth
has been entirely self-financed. This is a tribute to the
outstanding effort made by everybody on board”.
“Growing the
top line enough to make the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 is
especially meaningful during tough economic times for the technology
sector”, said William Touche, Technology, Media & Telecommunications
Partner for the London and Southern Region. “We congratulate Select
Software UK Ltd on becoming one of the 50 fastest growing technology
companies in London and the Southern Region. Making the Deloitte
Technology Fast 50 is a testament to a company’s commitment to
technology,” he continued. “With its 240 percentage growth rate
over 5 years, Select Software UK Ltd has proven that its leadership
has the vision and determination to grow in difficult conditions.”

Selection and Qualifications
The Fast 50
list is compiled from Deloitte’s nominations submitted directly to
the Fast 50, and public company database research. To qualify for
the Fast 50, entrants must have had 2000 operating revenues of at
least £35,000. Deloitte researchers examined financial statements
to validate operating revenues.
Entrants must
also be public or private companies headquartered in a participating
region of the UK and must be a “technology company”, defined as a
company that owns proprietary technology that contributes to a
significant portion of the company’s operating revenues; or devotes
a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development
of technology. Using other companies’ technology in a unique way
does not qualify.
