Carr-Gomm Plan Future

Carr-Gomm, National Charity and Supported Housing
Provider, Plans Future of HR Software with Select Software
After an extensive and
thorough shortlisting process, Carr-Gomm, the national charity and
supported housing provider whose HR office is based in South London,
chose Select Software as their HR and payroll software provider this
month.
Carr-Gomm has been in
business for over 40 years and was originally set up by Richard
Carr-Gomm, now 83 and still involved with the organisation and many
other charitable ventures. Today, Carr-Gomm supports nearly 3000
disadvantaged adults and has over 300 housing schemes and other
services including self-contained flats, homeless projects, floating
support for families and an award-winning client involvement
programme.
The introduction was
made via IT Shortlist, a company who specialise in matching
business’s software projects to relevant software suppliers. IT
Shortlist drew up a list of 6-7 other HR and payroll providers who
all held meetings with the HR team at Carr Gomm during the latter
part of this year. Michael Stock, Director of Strategic Resources,
said, “As a small organisation we do not have the time to research
the IT market ourselves and IT Shortlist found suppliers we would
not have known about.”
Carr-Gomm purchased
Select HR Insight, Clearvision and Select Recruit to enable them to
streamline their current HR processes, reduce their administration
burden and give their management teams access to HR information and
reports.
Pam Davies, Interim
Head of HR, said, “The Select HR team presented us with an
impressive array of functions and features within their software
package. We are particularly looking forward to bringing in Select
HR Clearvision, the intranet access module and Select HR Recruit,
the e-recruitment tool. The new system will help us to provide a
better HR service to existing and future staff and improve the
efficiencies within the HR Department.”
Carr-Gomm is an
award-winning charity offering a range of housing and support
services to 3,000 people each year across England. Many of the
people who use Carr-Gomm services have a learning disability, mental
ill-health, or a physical disability. Most experience poverty and
would otherwise be homeless. Carr-Gomm encourages and supports its
service users to work towards their own personal goals, and lead a
better quality of life.
